Radiology Imaging

Our radiology department uses diagnostic imaging to help your physician better understand what is going on inside your body to evaluate a problem or make a diagnosis. We offer the following different types of imaging:

  • Radiology (X-Ray)
  • DEXA Scan (measures bone mass)
  • Mammogram (image of the breast)
  • Ultrasound (uses high-frequency sound waves to produce moving images)

  • Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Nuclear Medicine

This technology uses a special camera and small amounts of radioactive material to generate images for diagnostic purposes. These tests can be used to diagnose cardiac, thyroid and pulmonary deficiencies. They can also be used for bone scans to detect infections and other abnormalities.

  • Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Physical Therapy

Abilene Diagnostic Clinic offers complete physical therapy services to address rehabilitation needs of orthopedic, musculoskeletal symptoms, sports and work related injuries. Our PT clinic is committed to providing complete and comprehensive treatment in a caring and friendly environment.

Our facilities are spacious and offer complete equipment to assist the physical therapists in providing the best treatment available. Our therapists are dedicated to educate patients, relieve them of their symptoms, and return them to a normal life as quickly as possible.

Occupational Health and Medicine

The clinic offers comprehensive occupational health and injury prevention services for Abilene and the surrounding area. Services are provided under the direction of Richard D. Trifilo, M.D., M.P.H, American Board of Preventative Medicine Certifications, Occupational Medicine and Aerospace. Additionally, Dr. Trifilo is certified through the American Board of Family Medicine.

The following services are available to meet your individual and corporate needs:

Laboratory

Our full service laboratory is equipped with state-of- the-art diagnostic testing equipment and computer systems to provide you with the best service possible. We are accredited by COLA (Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation) and CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act).

The great majority of tests are performed in our laboratory, providing a fast turn- around time, and quality diagnostic services to healthcare providers and their patients.

For our patients convenience we have phlebotomy stations at our two main locations to collect laboratory specimens.

Abilene Diagnostic Clinic also offers phlebotomy and laboratory services to nursing homes and assisted living centers within a 90-mile radius of Abilene, Texas.

Physicians use noninvasive, painless tests to diagnose many common heart problems. Cardiopulmonary tests performed at our clinic include:

Coumadin Clinic

Abilene Diagnostic Clinic patients currently taking Coumadin are encouraged to participate in our Coumadin Clinic. Warfarin (also known as Coumadin) is an anticoagulant prescribed to reduce the ability of the blood to clot, thereby reducing the risk of certain conditions such as heart attacks, leg clots, lung clots, and other disorders. However, high levels of warfarin in your blood can increase the risk of bleeding. It is very important to monitor and manage the levels of warfarin in your blood. Our Coumadin Clinic utilizes the latest technology to deliver Protime results immediately and offer patient education opportunities that can make Coumadin therapy both safer and more effective.

Physician referral is required to participate in the Coumadin Clinic.

Walk-In Care Clinics

Abilene Diagnostic Clinic has two walk-in clinics for urgent care and after hours medical needs. Our providers offer comprehensive treatment for most illnesses and injuries, including occupational services, DOT and school physicals.

You do not need a physician referral to be seen by one of our providers and no appointment is necessary!

Walk-In Care Clinic Hours:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
